Almost all of the discussion around bots has focused on bot-to-human interactions: how bots interact with humans, conversational interfaces, etc. However, there is a bigger aspect of the bot phenomenon that hasn’t been much explored: bot-to-bot interactions. 

Bots communicating with each other can enable amazing new possibilities. Bots can negotiate and transact deals with each other giving rise to bot marketplaces. Bots can collaborate with each other to form groups, hierarchies and other organizations to achieve tasks more complex than any single bot can. Enabling bot-to-bot communication also makes bot building easier. A developer can simply string multiple bots together to create a new bot.
